This program focuses on molecular structures and the processes of cellular life and their roles in the function, reproduction, and development of living organisms. In the first two years of the program, you’ll concentrate on topics in genetics, microbiology, and plant molecular genetics after that you can pursue your own area of focus. The Bachelor of Science with Major is a highly customizable degree program with a wide breadth of topics to study. The degree includes an optional minor or double major. This flexibility allows students to design their degree around two areas of interest, or choose to focus on only one area. Students have the option to keep their program broad or delve deeper into a discipline of their choice. Your minor can be chosen from 60 plus subjects, including many offered by the Faculty of Arts, Native Studies, Business or Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences.

Students applying directly from high school.

Admission is based on complete academic history and achievement in three main areas: Grades, English proficiency, and completion of required subjects.

English language Requirement:

TOEFL: iBT: At least 90 with a minimum score of 21 points in each section

IELTS(Academic): At least 6.5 with no band less than 6.0

CanTEST(Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees): At least 4.5, with no part lower than 4

PTE(Academic): At least 61, with no less than 60 in each communicative skill

CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language assessment) Either CAEL (paper) or CAEL CE (computer): A score of at least 70, with no band less than 60

Duolingo English Test: 120 for English Language Proficiency, with no sub score below 100
