What You'll Learn in the Equine Massage Therapy CertificateGive horses the gift of relaxation and become a sought-after equine massage therapist!This comprehensive one year program will equip you with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the equine massage field. Taught by experienced practitioners, you'll gain hands-on mastery of techniques that promote equine comfort, performance, and recovery.Through practical instruction, you'll learn to identify areas of tension, develop targeted massage plans, and manage a range of equine musculoskeletal issues.Program OutcomesUpon successful completion of this program, graduates will receive a certificate in Equine Massage Therapy.Work-Integrated LearningAs part of the Equine Massage Therapy program, you will complete a field placement where you will be required to complete 25 massages (minimum of 45 hours) on horses and a portfolio of work to show evidence of learning.

Admission Requirements: 50% or better in English Language Arts 30-1 or 30-2; 50% or better in Math 20-1 or Math 20-2; 50% or better in one of Biology 20, Chemistry 20, or Science 20. Applicants currently in high school or who are completing academic upgrading must submit proof of enrollment and any available interim/midterm marks. Olds College welcomes applications from International Applicants and those who have completed their high school education outside of Canada.
