The MASc program is a research-based program that provides advanced knowledge and practice in a chosen area of specialization, developing the skills for conducting research in this area. These two-year programs provide students with an opportunity to work under the mentorship of a leading engineering researcher to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills that are in high demand in today’s economy.The minimum requirements for completion are four graduate term length courses, research, and thesis. The four courses must conform to the FEAS Graduate Council requirements, that is, term length graduate courses or their equivalent. The Council will accept one senior (400 series) undergraduate course as equivalent to a graduate course provided that the course:a) the course is approved by the student's supervisor andb) the student has not received credit for a similar course in their Bachelor's program.
