Apa yang akan saya pelajari?

The Department of Agricultural, Food, and Nutritional Science offers thesis programs leading to Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, as well as course-based programs leading to Master of Agriculture and Master of Science degrees. Departmental graduate program guidelines exist and are summarized in the Agricultural, Food, and Nutritional Science Program Handbook. Human Nutrition research explores the links between all aspects of nutrition and human health with the ultimate goal of preventing diseases and enhancing the quality of life. This research explores the links between nutrition and human health. Research degrees span a number of disciplines including nutrition and metabolism, physiology, immunology, epidemiology, nutritional assessment, community nutrition, and public health. Research activities are strategically focused on health issues such as obesity, diabetes, and cancer, infant and child health and community nutrition, with the ultimate goal of preventing diseases and enhancing the quality of human life.

For a thesis-based MSc degree, the Departments minimum admission requirements are an undergraduate degree with an admission GPA of at least 3.3 on the 4-point scale from the University of Alberta, or an equivalent qualification and standing from a recognized institution. Four-year undergraduate degree (preferably Science or Engineering based), or its academic equivalent, from a recognized institution, and: Grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 out of 4.0 or B+ on a letter-based scale in the last two years (approximately 60 credits) of post-secondary study.
