Apa yang akan saya pelajari?

The Graduate Program in Urban Studies offers two credentials: the Graduate Diploma in Urban Studies (GDUS) and the Master of Urban Studies (MURB). Both of these can be completed part-time or full-time. Part-time study typically involves taking one 4-unit seminar course per term and full-time study typically involves taking two seminar courses per term, for a total of six (6) or more units. Most of our courses are held once a week for four hours in the evenings at SFU’s Vancouver campus.The comprehensive study of cities – in all of their social, economic, environmental and political complexity – is crucial to a sustainable global future.We train urbanists. In our two interdisciplinary graduate education programs, we aim to strike a balance between academic and professional training and to produce graduates who have the diverse and specialized skill sets, broad knowledge base and the flexibility needed to tackle today's urban challenges.

You must have a bachelors degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.0. The MURB program is ideal for learners whose professional and life experience has motivated them to engage in a seminar-based, rigorous program of study of cities and urbanism within a community of critical thinking peers. Statement of interest: A one-page document that explains your learning objectives and your personal, academic and professional motivations for acquiring an advanced urban studies credential. Resume /curriculum vitae that highlights your urban-related work and volunteer experience.Transcripts from all universities and/or colleges you've attended, including institutions attended on transfer or exchange.Unofficial transcripts: These must be uploaded to your online application. Ensure that they are clear and legible, and include information about the grading scale used. Letters of reference: Provide the name, position and contact information for three referees. The referees will then receive a link and instructions for uploading their letters. Reference letters must be provided through the link sent to referees from the online application system.
