Students in the Child & Youth Care program prepare for a rewarding and challenging career where they will work for a variety of agencies and organizations concerned with the complex challenges of children, youth, and their families. The program focuses on giving students the skills to facilitate positive change, promote resiliency, independence, and self advocacy. This program is dynamic and interactive and allows for students to practice core skills in a safe environment leading to feedback and assessments that are relevant and individualized. With over 1,500 hours of placement experience, capstone projects, community action and contribution plans, graduates can build robust resumes and ensure job readiness.
