Apa yang akan saya pelajari?

New Zealand’s horticulture industry plays an important role in food production and our export economy. This course expands your knowledge and understanding, and prepares you for a range of positions.

Lincoln University’s Diploma in Horticulture introduces you to a wide range of learning covering horticultural technology, production and management. You’ll also develop your skills in applied computing and problem-solving. This one-year full-time study programme is made up of eight courses that cover propagation, horticultural management systems, soils, plant studies, computing and engineering.

Practical work

A period of Practical work is a requirement for this qualification:

Minimum of 12 weeks of hands-on practical experience (preferably full-time)
On at least two different types of horticultural units

One of the following:

NCEA Level 2, a minimum of 40 credits over four subjects recognised by Lincoln University as suitable for entry. University Entrance literacy and numeracy standards are also required. A maximum of 24 credits in any one subject will be counted towards the total.
A New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture at Level 4 or higher, obtained through an approved polytechnic institution.
Special Admission or other pathways.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Diploma in University Studies (two-semester - DUS2) - On application. Minimum diploma score 22
Diploma in University Studies (three-semester - DUS3) - On application. Minimum diploma score 20

English Language Requirements

IELTS academic score of 6.0 overall, with no individual component less than 5.5
TOEFL (iBT) overall score of 60 (with at least 18 in writing)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) and First (FCE) overall score of 169, with no individual component less than 162
Pearson Test of English (Academic) overall score of 50 with no communicative skills score less than 42
Lincoln University English Language LU EL 65%.
NZ Certificates in English Language (NZCEL) - Level 4 (Academic Endorsement)
