What needs to be done to protect our world-famous environmentYou’ll learn about the biology and ecology of living species and habitats.Out in the field, you'll develop surveying skills in remote areas while gaining real life hands-on experience. Plus, you'll explore conservation issues and examine strategies to protect the environment.Environmental sustainability is also a focus. The knowledge gained from the course will help you to create sustainable practices within New Zealand.This course is designed as an entry to the Level 6 diploma, where you'll gain more advanced skills and knowledge. It includes a focus on research design and environmental and ecological reporting. You’ll also choose elective papers in biosecurity or aquaculture.
