Our Bachelor of Science in Biology comprises a core curriculum in humanities and research principles and practices, followed by coursework in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, cell biology, evolutionary biology, general and organic chemistry, physics, and calculus. Our major also fulfills all the requirements for entrance to medical school, or to pursue graduate studies in dentistry, podiatry, veterinary medicine, and other areas.You’ll learn within a stimulating and rigorous environment that provides for highly interactive education and research experience. Our faculty members are experts in their fields, offering you a range of research opportunities in areas such as anatomy and histology, animal behavior, biochemistry, cancer biology, genetics, microbiology, neuroscience, and molecular and cellular biology.You'll get critical experience through internships at metropolitan area hospitals such as Columbia University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital and pharmaceutical companies like Advanced Biotech, Boheringer Ingleheim, and Pfizer.
