As an international relations major, you’ll gain a deep understanding of how states and organizations can address pressing problems such as human rights and transitional justice, nuclear proliferation, environmental degradation, underdevelopment and pandemic management. Working with expert faculty, you’ll develop practical tools to analyze the complex political, legal, economic and cultural dimensions of global governance--and build highly-specialized expertise that will help launch your career.Upon successful completion of all of the degree requirements, a student will receive a dual Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. The exact degree will be awarded based on the specific undergraduate program the student completes. A student may permanently exit the dual degree program and opt to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree if all the requirements for a Bachelor’s degree have been met. In this case, the graduate courses taken in the senior year will be counted as 4-credit courses applied toward the undergraduate degree requirements.If you plan to work in government or public service, you might consider putting your career on the fast track by earning a graduate degree, too. And you can earn a dual bachelor’s/master’s degree in just five years through Suffolk’s accelerated program. You can apply to this dual-degree & program in your junior year at Suffolk, during the spring semester, and take your first graduate course the following fall. You can take two graduate-level courses in your senior year (one during the fall semester and one during the spring semester) and then complete your graduate studies in a fifth full-time year, saving both time and tuition.
