Latin America plays an important role in the world's economic and political landscape. In this program, you will build awareness of Latin American cultures and an understanding of their history, social issues, politics, languages and economics. The program examines Latin America and its cultures from many disciplines: anthropology, history, language, the arts, economics and more. You will develop a strong intercultural perspective and the language skills for careers in international business, diplomatic service, foreign policy, teaching and other fields. Highlights of this program include: Study abroad for a summer, semester or year in Latin America Internship opportunities at many study abroad sites Interdisciplinary major Gain teaching and mentoring experience as departmental tutor International, intercultural competency to enhance employability
