Political science is the study of politics and government at the local, state, federal, and international levels.This program focuses on the theory and practice of public policies, political behavior, world views, class systems, foreign relations, law, conflict, and war.Students will examine the United States and other nations and regions of the world from new perspectives using both humanistic outlooks and scientific reasoning.The program in political science offers a broad selection of courses and activities adapted to the needs of students who plan careers in law the several levels of government, including the foreign (diplomatic) service international organizations international business and industrial organizations private enterprise public relations research teaching and active politics.Students interested in other vocations will find the courses very beneficial.
