The Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health and Community Wellness prepares students for careers and/or graduate study in the field of Public Health. This program examines health from both a traditional, science-based medical model and holistic, population-based model. This field of study includes bioethics, health law, healthcare administration and policy, epidemiology, health education and outreach, and psychosocial aspects of healthcare. There will be an emphasis for students to obtain extensive fieldwork and experience in public health education and surveillance, effective health intervention and prevention program, and community outreach. Opportunities for taking specialty elective classes are available to tailor the undergraduate major for specific graduate interests.
