Successful event managers have a broad range of skills including communication, contract negotiation, organizations, customer service, human resources, budgeting, creativity, relationship management and leadership.This option provides students with the essential skills, competencies and industry knowledge that will put them at the forefront of this fast-growing and rapidly changing industry. The curriculum focuses on topics such as event and meeting planning, marketing, sponsorships, budgeting, sales, service and hospitality management.Hospitality and tourism is a fast-paced industry with domestic and international opportunities in management sectors including event planning, tourism, lodging management and food and beverage management. OSU has a rich tradition of preparing successful leaders for the global hospitality industry. OSU offers a business-focused curriculum, hands-on learning labs, study abroad experiences and an integrated internship component. Our students learn in new state-of-the-art facilities.
