Bachelor of Science in Mathematics -Teaching Grades 6-12

The Department of Mathematics offers degrees tailored to individual student needs. At the undergraduate level, we offer a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with three emphases. We offer two teaching emphases. The 5-8 emphasis prepares the recipient for licensure at the late childhood through early adolescence (middle school) level. The 6-12 emphasis prepares the recipient for licensure at the early adolescence through late adolescence (high school) level. A Minor in Mathematics is available which can be adapted to a variety of business or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines. In addition, we offer a Minor in Mathematics - Teaching Grades 5-8, which prepares students for licensure at the late childhood through early adolescence (middle school) level.
