As part of the Graduate Interdisciplinary Program, the Cancer Biology Ph.D. pathway trains you for a career in innovative cancer research. The hybrid curriculum of traditional coursework and research introduces you to knowledge derived from research in the production, properties and therapies of cancer, ensuring that you have in-depth knowledge and a foundational background to become an independent investigator. In addition to partnership with the UA Cancer Center, the program benefits from participation from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College of Medicine and College of Science. Cancer Biology students are admitted through the Arizona Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program.
