The civil engineering program offers a curriculum that provides students with a solid background in mathematics, physical science and civil engineering. Students can choose elective courses in: Environmental engineeringGeotechnical engineeringStructural engineeringTransportation engineeringWater resources engineering State-of-the-art laboratory facilities are available for conducting basic environmental analyses, hydraulic experiments, material tests, soil mechanics procedures and transportation studies. Students graduating with a bachelor’s degree are prepared to assist public and private employers, or to pursue graduate study.

Students seeking a bachelors degree from SIUE who have never attended a college or university, and those who may have taken some coursework at a college or university outside the U.S. but do not currently hold a bachelors degree.Submit official records showing grades for all years of secondary/high school AND official exam results or certificate/diploma. Applicants who have attempted at least 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of college-level transfer credit (either from the U.S. or abroad) are not required to provide secondary school records.Meet English proficiency requirementTOEFL: 72IELTS: 6.0 (no component score under 5.5)
