The Master’s in Exercise Physiology is designed for students interested in clinical exercise physiology and performance/personal training-related careers. This program is committed to producing students who (a) have an in-depth understanding of how the human body responds and adapts to exercise and (b) can use up-to-date evidence and statistics to make evidence-based decisions regarding exercise program design. A Master’s degree equips you with more in-depth and specialized knowledge in your field of study. As such, a master’s degree enhances your expertise and credibility. Holding a Master’s degree indicates professionally desirable qualities such as determination, persistence, initiative, commitment, and intellectual prowess. A Master’s degree can make you a more competitive applicant for jobs and increase the number of jobs you can apply for. A Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology prepares students with career interests in strength and conditioning, athletic and health coaching, cardiac rehabilitation, corporate wellness and fitness management, personal training, or other position that helps people pursue a healthier life. A Master’s degree allows students to continue their training within allied health fields (such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine, and orthotics and prosthetics) or Ph.D programs.
