The science and engineering of materials are key to innovations in critical areas of technology, from integrated circuits and chip carriers to turbine engines and optical waveguides. The master's program in Materials Science & Engineering is designed to provide advanced exploration in the fields of materials properties, materials structures and materials processing - positioning you for exciting leadership roles and new discoveries in optical materials, biomaterials, tissue engineering, nanotechnology computational modeling of materials and more. The program offers students two pathways: a thesis option with a research emphasis or a non-thesis plan with focused coursework.

Admission requirements:

Have completed at least 75 undergraduate credit hours at the time of application and 90 undergraduate credit hours at the time of entry into the AMP, with a cumulative GPA equal or above 3.3
Have completed least 12 units of undergraduate credit hours in MSE at The University of Arizona.
Have completed, or nearly completed the general education requirements at the time of application.
