Heartland Community College

Heartland Community College is a two-year, fully accredited institution serving a district population of over 200,000 people and the world at large. The college is recognized by the Illinois Community College Board and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which is an institutional accreditation agency granted recognition by the U.S. Department of Education. The college has campuses in Normal, Lincoln, and Pontiac, from where it strives to provide innovative and accessible learning opportunities through its 15 degrees and 63 certificate programs. Heartland Community College has a student-teacher ratio of 19:1, which offers scope for individualized attention to be paid to students. Heartland also offers over 20 clubs and organizations on campus for students to pursue interests outside the classroom. The Student Engagement office helps students get involved in various activities that cater to their interests.
