Our double degree provides you with a professionally accredited law degree with a comprehensive grounding in regional, national and global environmental science and natural resource issues. You will graduate with broad knowledge and technical skills to apply to a wide range of professions, and benefit from UNE’s specialist regional, rural and remote perspective in both fields.The Bachelor of Environmental Science component of this double degree provides you with a program directly integrated to the protection and conservation of our regional, rural and national environment. It provides a strong scientific understanding of local to global environmental issues and their management, along with flexible opportunities to develop advanced scientific knowledge as well as field and laboratory skills related to ecological conservation, air, land, water, plant and wildlife management and protection. Throughout, you will engage and work with environmental practitioners, industry and regulators to solve the problems of today with innovative solutions whilst gaining the core attributes to be job ready in a wide range of careers. The Bachelor of Laws component is taught by UNE’s highly experienced School of Law, Australia’s largest law school outside a capital city. World-class teaching staff, a thriving research culture and a unique perspective on regional, remote and rural legal issues will provide you with access to an engaging program of study and specialist skills that employers are looking for. You will gain the experience and skills to address legal matters in both regional and urban contexts, enabling you to step into courtroom, undertake research and understand complex legal issues.
