Civil Engineering equips students with the skills to design, build, and manage critical infrastructure that supports society and the environment. You will learn to deliver sustainable projects such as bridges, buildings, roads, water systems, and stormwater networks, while applying advanced knowledge of geotechnics, structural design, hydraulics, surveying, remote sensing as well as disaster management and prevention. The specialisation focuses on engineering practices that enhance climate safety and community resilience, preparing you to address the environmental and social challenges facing the built environment today and into the future.

Admission to undergraduate courses at the University of Tasmania requires the completion of qualifications equivalent to a year 12 education in Australia. You can also meet the General Entry Requirement for this course with the following qualifications or prior studies: Completion of an equivalent AQF Certificate IV or above.
