A PhD in Education requires you to complete a research thesis (or alternative approved output) of no more than 80,000 words. The PhD program may be undertaken in any area of research, including:

• Curriculum and pedagogy
• Early childhood education
• Educational psychology and inclusive education
• Mathematics, science and technology
• Teacher education, language, arts and professional learning
• Work, learning and leadership

As well as the research component, you will also complete a series of professional development activities or coursework units relevant to your chosen research focus. These activities are designed to provide you with the skills needed to develop your professional skills to support you in your future career.
