The Graduate Diploma of International Ophthalmology aims to provide high-standard specialised training for clinicians from developing regions, focusing on specific diseases and pathologies prevalent in their home countries. This program is designed to enhance practical skills and foundational knowledge in ophthalmology.Our course is designed for medical graduates and ophthalmology practitioners, especially from the Asia-Pacific region, who are looking to further their skills in diagnosing and managing common eye conditions, diseases and injuries.

Admission to the course requires: a medical degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification. Applicants from countries without established vocational (specialist) ophthalmology training programs and working in an ophthalmology unit are eligible for admission to the Community Ophthalmology stream.
