This course provides you with the current skills and knowledge in order to fulfil the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and to practice nursing in a variety of settings, including mental health, primary health, acute care, aged care and palliative care areas. All students enrolled in the HLT5421 Diploma of Nursing course are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) for the duration of their course. On successful completion of all course requirements, you may be eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). In Australia, nursing qualifications are accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). ANMAC is accountable to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) for assuring the Australian community that graduates of accredited programs can practice and care for people in a safe and competent manner.
