Our Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health) aims to help students develop nuanced knowledge and effective skills in dealing with the psychosocial contexts, prevention strategies and management techniques for sexual and reproductive health issues.Our course is designed for a range of graduates including health-related professionals, social workers, public health officers, laboratory scientists or students who are interested in working in the field of HIV and STIs, psychosexual therapy/sexology, sexual and reproductive health.This course prepares graduates to work in advanced and specialist positions in sexual and reproductive health, depending on your pathway.Career field options include:fertility medicinefertility specialistHIV medicinepsychosexual therapyreproductive medicinesexual health counseling, medicine and nursingwomen's health.Professional accreditationGraduates who complete this degree with a Psychosexual Therapy pathway meet the sexological requirements for accreditation with the Society of Australian Sexologists.Components of the degree count towards formal study requirements for the Advanced Training of the Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Admission to the Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health) requires:

successful completion of an embedded degree program (Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma) with a minimum credit average; or

a bachelor degree in a health or science-related discipline with honours; or

a bachelor degree plus a postgraduate degree in a health or science-related discipline; or

a bachelor degree in a health or science-related discipline plus a minimum of 12 months relevant work experience.
