Get the tools essential to understanding the complexities of criminal justice issues and how they are shaped by larger social, political, economic, cultural, and historical contexts. With our uniquely interdisciplinary approach, you’ll get a strong foundation in the field of criminology and become a more engaged citizen.Our professors have diverse backgrounds. You’ll benefit from teaching that draws on the connections between criminology and fields such as gender and cultural studies, immigration, global and transnational studies, surveillance, and business and finance.Our grads have gone on to careers in law enforcement, probation and the courts, conflict mediation, border control, immigration, law, journalism, human rights advocacy, social services and public policy.Understand the criminal justice system from historical, sociological and legal perspectives, including current theories and research.Learn the roles of state and non-state agencies in regulation and policing.Explore and critically analyze criminological theories about why people commit crime.

International Baccalaureate (IB) - IB Diploma with passes in six subjects: three passes at the Standard-level and three passes at the Higher-level, or two passes at the Standard-level and four passes at the Higher-level. Minimum IB Diploma point scores of 30 or higher is recommended (scores of 28 will be considered).Minimum 4 is required in each subject unless otherwise indicated. IB Certificate candidates with six subjects are considered for admission, Transfer credit granted for IB courses with Higher-level final grades of 5 or better, depending on the program (maximum 30 credits). Prerequisites listed correspond to Standard-or Higher-level.General Certificate of Education (GCE) - Minimum of two Advanced-level (A2) passes and three GCSE or IGCSE Ordinary-level (O-level) passes. Minimum average of “C” is required on Advanced-level and Ordinary-level passes. Grades of “E” are not considered. Prerequisite courses (minimum of “C” unless otherwise indicated) must be presented atthe Advanced-level. Transfer credits may be awarded for A level courses completed with a C or better.
