The general primary education program allows teachers to teach various subjects from kindergarten to grade 6 (ages 5 to 12). It also allows teachers to teach in French-language schools.ones or French immersion.

All undergraduate applicants to any program or course except Faculté Saint-Jean need an adequate level of English language proficiency before admission, regardless of their citizenship status or country of origin. The University of Alberta reserves the right to use discretion in determining adequate levels of language proficiency to ensure success in academic programs.Graduation from a recognized degree program offered by an accredited university at which English is the primary language of instruction or in a country where English is the primary language.
