Today’s media is all about content - stories, ideas, words, sounds, images, and designs. If you are passionate about creating media and eager to embark on an exciting career in the dynamic and ever-evolving field of media production, look no further. Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s comprehensive Media Production diploma program is specifically designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to thrive in this fast-paced industry. Our program is a carefully crafted blend of theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on training, ensuring that you gain a holistic understanding of media production while honing your technical skills. Over the course of two years, you will be immersed in a dynamic learning environment where creativity, innovation, and collaboration are encouraged. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to cover all aspects of media production, including pre-production, production, and post-production processes. In the first year you’ll learn the fundamentals of: formatting, manipulating and editing graphics visual design audio recording and production scriptwriting video acquisition and editing lighting techniques and design web authoring

Grade 12 with English Language Arts A30 and English Language Arts B30 International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Academic Module: Overall minimum score of Band 6.5 with a minimum score of 5.0 in each component. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - An overall minimum score of 81 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT), with a minimum score of 19 in each of reading, listening, speaking and writing.. TOEFL - Paper-based: Minimum test score of 550 with a minimum TWE of 3.5 and a minimum TSE of 50. Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees (CanTEST): Minimum score of 4.5 in each of listening and reading, a minimum score of 4.0 in speaking, and a minimum score of 4.0 in writing Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL CE and Online): Minimum score of 60 with a minimum score of 50 in each component. (CE and Online accepted). University of Cambridge Assessment English C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency: Minimum grade of C1 Pearson Test of English Academic (PTEA) - A minimum score of 63 with minimum component scores of 50. Duolingo English Test: A minimum overall score of 105 on the online Duolingo English Test as the equivalent to the minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 International Baccalaureate (IB) English A1 or A2: Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Diploma, including higher level English with a minimum grade of 4
