At a time of growing hostilities and divisions, are you curious about how solidarity with others might be fostered? Would you like to imagine with others a better world and how it might be achieved? Would you like to study policy responses to social problems such as homelessness, violence against women, racism, and the mental health crisis among young people, how these problems have been understood, and how new and more effective responses might be put in place? The Bachelor of Social Science degree (BSocSc) is crafted to provide you with a transformative learning experience that extends beyond the lecture hall. The first year of the course provides a foundation in a range of social science disciplines, including Social Policy, Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology and Economics.
