Gain a higher level of experience in independent analysis and research. If your science degree sparked a desire to dig deeper into a topic, this honours degree is your chance to pursue your passion. The extra year includes a research thesis and additional units that will help you further develop your analytical and research skills, while building discipline-specific knowledge in your chosen field of expertise. You'll participate in seminars, give oral presentations of your research and prepare a thesis – activities that can be stepping stones towards higher research qualifications in science, such as the Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
