Qualification structure: This qualification offers two specialisation options: Architectural Technology or Interior Architecture. You will learn about architectural design theory as well as the evolution of architectural design through time. You will also learn how to communicate relevant information effectively to the various stakeholders of the industry.
Your workload: Workload is 40 hours per week, with about two thirds of that time spent in a directed learning environment. Learning activities include lectures, seminars, tutorials, Moodle discussion, audio/video analysis, site visits and/or attendance of performances and exhibitions (if available).

International students will be individually assessed to ensure they have an acceptable level of secondary school achievement.
If English is not your first language, you must provide:
TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT): Score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE)
TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 60 (with a writing score of 18)
Cambridge English Assessments: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a score of 176. No less than 169 in each skill;
Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42
Language Certificate: C1 Expert IESOL (LRWS) with PASS and no less than Pass in each skill
Alternative requirements
Evidence of literacy, numeracy and an ability to study at the appropriate level. This can be through study, work and/or life experience. Otago Polytechnic literacy assessments are available.
Other requirements
Applicants should be motivated and talented individuals with a strong interest in and aptitude for the technological and/or creative fields of architecture.
