Bachelor of Arts (BA) Majoring in Anthropology

The University of Otago

Every society has its own ways of thinking, living, and understanding the world. Anthropology helps us make sense of those differences. At Otago, you'll explore how culture shapes human behaviour, identity, health, religion, politics, and social change while learning how to study people and communities through fieldwork, observation, interviews, and critical analysis. You'll graduate with the analytical, research, and communication skills to understand complex social issues and contribute across government, community organisations, policy, media, and international development.
