Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Statistics

The Bachelor of Arts with Honours or BA(Hons) is for high-achieving Bachelor of Arts students (or those from equivalent degrees) to select from a wide range of subjects in the humanities and social sciences. UC's BA honours degree is made up of a personalised study programme, which includes elective coursework and a supervised research component. Statistics makes sense of data using mathematical modelling to explain what is observed and to predict what is yet unknown. There are many areas in which statistics helps us to understand what is going on and to predict what is likely to happen in the future, from climate change to the economy to medicine.
