This course is not just about theory our programme places a strong emphasis on skill development, from honing essential communication, IT, and teamwork abilities to mastering practical skills such as animal handling, health assessment, and behaviour evaluation. This programme offers students the opportunity to study a range of animal species.You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in real-world learning experiences through work placements, where you'll gain invaluable on-the-job training which could further enhance your employability. Whether you're training animals, designing animal accommodations, or assessing animal welfare and husbandry these placements can provide a crucial bridge between classroom learning and professional practice.Your learning would also be facilitated through access to a range of range of on-site resources, including a BIAZA accredited Wildlife Park, Equestrian Centre, Commercial Farm and a Science Centre with specialist laboratories.This course is 2-years full time (part-time study may also be available – contact he@askham-bryan.ac.uk for more information about part-time study).
