Studying Celtic Civilisation immerses you in the history of the Celts, the development of their societies, their literature, material culture, art and religion, from earliest times on the European continent to the present-day British Isles. Theology & Religious Studies encompasses the study of religion, religions, the Bible and theology – not as worlds apart, but as they relate to politics, history, literature, philosophy, art and culture as well as to personal belief and practice. **Why study this course at the University of Glasgow?** You will have the opportunity to study the medieval and modern cultures of Celtic speaking peoples, with scholars at the cutting edge of research, as part of a joint degree, with no requirement to learn a Celtic We are passionate about exploring the way that religion shapes political and cultural life.
