This is the only MSc Clinical Exercise Physiology in the UK jointly delivered by the School of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine. This collaboration brings together scientific rigour and clinical practice, giving you an education that spans both disciplines.

Teaching takes place on Highfield Campus and at University Hospital Southampton, working alongside clinicians, researchers and CEPs who are shaping the future of healthcare practice

We’re one of the few universities in the UK with a fully NHS-funded Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) and prehabilitation medicine service, giving you vital insight into the tools and techniques that you'll use through your career.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in real clinical environments and complete placements that exceed the minimum requirements set by the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS). This gives you greater exposure and confidence when entering professional practice.
