Through research and evaluation, they will explore key issues such as global justice, human rights, international power shifts, and the challenges of democracy and development.The Year Abroad experience not only enhances fluency and communicative proficiency, but also offers first-hand engagement with inter- and transculturality through cultural immersion. The flexibility of year abroad placement opportunities - including university study, volunteering and work placements in the private and public sector - enables students to get a deeper understanding of the interaction of local as well as global political, social and cultural contexts, and the evolving roles of government and civil society.Graduates will emerge with adaptable, resilient, and resourceful skills, positioning them for careers in diplomacy, international relations, language teaching, translation, journalism, policy, human rights, and beyond.
