MA/PgDip International Relations and Global Challenges

University of Salford

The world is an exciting but uncertain place. We face crises from climate change, migration and disease to violent conflicts old and new. Democracies are under pressure amid new forms of communication and misinformation. Studying international relations gives you the tools to help play your part as we meet these challenges. Our master's degree in International Relations and Global Challenges will help you develop the skills and knowledge you’ll need for a range of careers across politics, government, the military, public affairs, diplomacy, think tasks and academia. You will learn from and work with our team of outstanding academics, who will help you develop a deep understanding of how we got here, how the world works now and the threats we all face in the future. Our programme has a particular focus on the challenges both posed and faced by China, India and the nations and communities of the Global South, reflecting the research interests of our leading experts in the field. Teaching on the full-time programme is scheduled in the late afternoons and early evenings wherever possible, making the course an ideal choice to help you develop your career. Our part-time Distance Learning option allows you the flexibility to fit your studies into your busy life. On campus full and part time delivery starts in September. The part time, distance learning option is available as a January start.
