Take your academic studies into the research field with the Salford Innovation Research centre. Home to the National Advanced Robotics Research Centre since 1987, we lead internationally recognised research excellence in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence. Current research opportunities are available in robotics, mechatronics, automation and control, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The food industry is very labour intensive and as a result is under threat from low wage economies. To allow companies to remain competitive they need to embrace automation.
