Apa yang akan saya pelajari?

This degree program prepares individuals to become successfully employed in the field of construction. Students can also apply these skills to a variety of jobs within the residential construction field. Students can choose to earn a variety of certificates related to residential carpentry, or can earn an AAS in Residential and Light Commercial Carpentry. After completion of the certificates or the degree, students can readily find employment as a carpenter helper for either general or specialty contractors. Generally after a period of time, most students find themselves in jobs such as: lead carpenters, general contractors, specialty contractors, supervisors, vendor representatives, designers, retail sales specialists, building inspectors, or in other construction-related employment such as construction management. Students whose primary language is not English must have successfully completed ELL Level 3 prior to enrolling in the Carpentry Technology Program.

Admission to the college is open to anyone who has completed High School and 9th grade transcript

English Proficiency Requirements:

TOEFL iBT 61 or higher on the international TOEFL or the iBT Special Home Edition while TOEFL testing centers are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic

IELTS 5.5 no band lower than 5.0

Official ACT score of 14 in ELA (English Language Arts) with completed writing section

Official SAT Score of not lower than English Language Arts 410 and Math 430

Cambridge General Certificate of Education (GCE) O level with C in English as First Language, or B in English as Second Language

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) of no lower than 46

STEP/EIKEN score of Grade Pre-1 or better

Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) English as First Language score of C or higher; or English as Second Language score of B

Duolingo score of no lower than 95

English Language Level Test, ELLT overall score of 4 (B2) with no band lower than 3 (B1+).
