Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with UTeach Chemistry Teacher Certification

This program is suitable preparation for students who desire certification with a teaching field in chemistry and/or physical science. Teacher certification is completed through the College of Science’s UTeach Arlington program. The UTA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry has been recognized for excellence in both teaching and research. Although emerging as a research department of national rank, we are still small enough to give individual attention to our students. We encourage our students to become involved in the research programs in biochemistry or the areas of analytical, inorganic, organic, physical or polymer chemistry so that by the time they graduate, they will have knowledge of how a practicing chemist or biochemist functions.
