Students studying Music Entrepreneurial Studies learn the capacity and willingness to develop, organize, and manage a music business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit. Students enroll in both traditional and contemporary courses in music theory, business, and technology, as well as the fundamentals of musicianship in private lessons and ensemble performance.
Student Learning Outcomes
SLO 1: Students will demonstrate proficiency in music theory as demonstrated on a summative assessment.
SLO 2: Students will communicate an understanding of music history through formal written composition.
SLO 3: Students will communicate an understanding of current practices in their field of study (music technology or music entrepreneurial studies.
