The Applied Professional Spanish major concentration is the most advanced option available to students wanting a career that requires Spanish proficiency.The Applied Professional Spanish major concentration naturally complements the range of our offerings in the traditional major, certificate, and minor programs in Spanish. Students with an Applied Professional Spanish concentration will achieve a higher level of language proficiency focused on the professions (e.g. business, advertising, medical, legal, technology, journalism) and intercultural competence than those in the traditional major, which focuses on culture, literature, and linguistics.
