Move your audience. This one-of-a-kind program will prepare you for your career in musical theatre with a thoughtfully curated blend of performing arts disciplines. In addition to rigorous dance training, you will study acting, music and voice. Our faculty of working artists will guide you toward your unique expression and provide tools and techniques to support your artistic agency. The Theatre Conservatory of the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) consists of 200 undergraduate students, divided between our Acting, Musical Theatre and Musical Theatre: Dance. Students are guaranteed onstage performance credit while they are at CCPA - more time onstage means more training for your future career in the theatre. Our faculty is comprised of full-time professors as well as many active theatre professionals who lend their unique talents and expertise to the Conservatory. At CCPA, our students learn from and work alongside Chicago's very best, and a low student/faculty ratio results in focused study tailored to each student's needs.

A freshman applicant is defined as an individual who has completed or will complete a high school degree or its equivalent and has fewer than 12 transferrable college credit hours. The admission requirements for freshman applicants are as follows: Roosevelt requires applicants to attain a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 for at least 3 years of study. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to Roosevelt University. If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts. Roosevelt is test-optional. If you have taken the ACT or SAT we encourage you to send your scores, though these are not required for admission.
