Transform Lives by Becoming a Music Educator A Music Education emphasis prepares students to teach and supervise music in school settings ranging from preschool to high school. Music education students work towards State of Kansas certification in K-12 schools. In addition to in-depth study in the student's major applied area the program provides comprehensive coursework in the various aspects of music education: conducting teaching methods and development of proficiency in woodwind brass string piano voice and percussion instruments.

Current certified bank statement or financial guarantee (within 6 months), Financial Statement of Support form, Delivery Method form, Copy of passport, All official documents (original or certified copies) must be mailed directly to Pittsburg State University. Official transcripts must be received direct from the issuing school in a sealed envelop. A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) in an accredited international post secondary institution (college/university)
