The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a major in Electrical Engineering provides students with the background that is essential for the conception, design, development, and manufacture of electrical, electronic, computer, and information technology products and systems. Students may specialize in the areas of networks and communication systems, micro and nano devices and systems, or computer engineering. Proficiency in mathematics is especially important in Electrical Engineering. The B.S. with a major in Electrical Engineering and the B.S. with a major in Electrical Engineering with Computer Engineering Concentration are both accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. EE is the branch of engineering that deals with the technology of electricity, electromagnetism, and electronics.The bachelor of science degree with a major in electrical engineering is designed to provide students with the mathematics, science, management, engineering and applications skills needed to work in various industries designing and producing electrical and electronic devices, systems and services. Electrical engineers also are involved in many large-scale multi-disciplinary projects in aerospace, automobiles, computer systems, construction, instrumentation, health services and other areas.
