The Public Administration field is a challenging endeavor that prepares the student to work in the public sector. Employment maybe obtained at the city, state, county & federal levels of government as well as non-profit organizations. Some course include: Budgeting in the Public Sector, Public Sector Supervision, Urban Planning, Human Resource Management, Legal Aspects of Public Management and Labor Relations. An associate's degree in public administration provides students with the practical education and skills necessary to run an administrative staff or department. Students learn the basics of financial accounting, human resources, organizational management, problem-solving and budgeting.Student prepares to assist in budgeting process.
