This Level 1 Certificate is designed for the student desiring to develop technical skills in the promotion of music products. Graduates are employed by houses of worship, concert venues, record label start-ups, live production companies and private or public production houses.The music business program is the only one of its kind in San Antonio. It’s where students learn about the business of music while using the latest industry-standard practices. The program focuses on understanding studio and live event sound, including multitrack mixdown recording application and the business side of music with copyright law and music publishing. Students learn the elements of the music industry through real-world, hands-on experiences.
