Illinois Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering/Master of Food Process Engineering accelerated master's degree program allows students the unique opportunity to pursue advanced studies in food process engineering while completing both degrees in as few as five years. Students will learn to apply specialized knowledge of mass transfer and chemical reaction engineering within the food process industry. They will be prepared to make an impact in the areas of process control, process improvement, expansion, and quality assurance. Coursework for this degree program may include food microbiology, food law and regulation, and food analysis. Build a foundation in chemical engineering during the undergraduate portion of this program and prepare for advanced food process engineering work in the fourth year. Make an impact in the areas of process control, process improvement, expansion, and quality assurance.
